The Brantford Bulldogs made big changes in the front office Friday, with two legends of the game taking up new roles with the OHL team. Gary Roberts, a former NHL player who won the 1989 Stanley cup with the Calgary Flames, was promoted to Vice President of Hockey Operations. He joined the organization last season as a Senior Advisor & Director of Player Development, where he will now step into the larger role alongside Spencer Hyman in Hockey Operations. Roberts will be joined by 2026 Hockey Hall of Fame inductee Brian Burke, who will serve as a Senior Hockey Operations Advisor. Burke worked behind the scenes in many front offices across his time in the NHL, including a stint as Executive Vice President and General Manager of the Anaheim Ducks from 2005 to 2009, where they won Lord Stanley in 2007. The organization also made other changes at lower front office levels on top of the Roberts and Burke acquisitions. This comes following the 2026 NHL Draft, which saw multiple Bulldogs selected, including Caleb Malhotra who was selected third overall by the Vancouver Canucks.
