A Woolwich Township man has been charged as part of an investigation into a vehicle theft from a gas station in Elmira. A witness told the Waterloo Regional Police Service they saw a man steal an unoccupied vehicle from the gas station on Sept. 5 around 9:20 p.m. On Tuesday, police arrested a man around 5 p.m. after he was seen behind the wheel of the stolen vehicle. The 33-year-old was charged with motor vehicle theft, theft under $5,000, possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000, four counts of operation of a conveyance while prohibited and two counts of driving while under suspension.
