A Hanover man is facing almost a dozen charges after police said they could hear his motorcycle from inside the police station. Hanover Police officers were working on reports inside the building on July 26 when they heard the loud motorcycle approaching. Officers boxed in traffic in front of the police station to prevent the motorcyclist from driving off. An off-duty officer pulled up and said they had seen the motorcyclist speeding, passing aggressively and driving dangerously as he travelled eastbound into the town. During the investigation, officers learned the motorcyclist had never earned a driver’s license and was prohibited from driving for several previous incidents, including failure to stop for police and leading officers on chases. A 42-year-old man was charged with three counts of driving while prohibited, dangerous driving, operating a motor vehicle without insurance, driving under suspension and other traffic offences.
