Eva Longoria "misses" Victoria and David Beckham.

The former 'Desperate Housewives' actress got close to the couple when they were living in Los Angeles and she admits it was a shame for her when they moved but she is going to make the effort to visit them in London.

In an interview with Britain's HELLO! magazine, she said: "I think David and Victoria are an amazing couple who have an amazing reach around the world. It's great that they use it to benefit those in need and what he has done with UNICEF is really incredible.

"I've missed them not being in LA, very much so. But I'm so busy I haven't got any plans to go over and see them in London just yet."

David - who announced his retirement from professional soccer last week - missed out on collecting the Global Gift Philanthropist Award at Eva's Global Gift Gala last Monday (13.05.13) because he had joined his Paris Saint-Germain teammates for a celebration of the team's first Ligue 1 victory in 19 years in the French capital.

However, as a symbol of his close friendship with the brunette beauty, David donated a pair of his football boots personalised with the names of his and Victoria's four children - Brooklyn, 14, Romeo, 10, Cruz, eight, and 21-month-old daughter Harper - for a charity auction.

Speaking in a recorded message shown on the night at the Four Seasons Hotel George V Paris, David said: "I was much looking forward to being there, but with winning the championship I'll be parading the trophy around Paris ... I apologise to Eva, she is a very special friend to me and my wife and I know the very special work she does for many charities."

The 38-year-old actress loved being in Paris for the event and says it is one of her most favourite cities in the entire world because it always reminds her of her wedding to ex-husband Tony Parker.

Eva - whose divorce from the French basketball player was finalised in January 2011 - said: "I love Paris, it's my favourite city in the world after Mexico where I'm from. I fell in love with France a long time ago and I always knew I was going to be spending a lot of time here so Learnt French. I only have great memories of Paris; I got married here."
