Eva Longoria has complete faith in Internet dating after one of her friends found love online.

The 'Desperate Housewives' actress - whose second marriage to basketball player Tony Parker ended in divorce in 2010 - believes dating websites are a great way to find your soul mate after revealing one of her close friends is set to marry a man she met on the internet this year.

She said: "My girlfriend went on Match.com, [and] she's getting married this year... They're perfectly matched for each other; they're really a great couple."

But the 38-year-old star - who is producing a new dating show called 'Ready for Love' - insists she is not ready to start Internet dating yet and says she relies on her close circle of friends to find her a new partner instead.

She told Jay Leno on his show: "I feel like the matchmaker would maybe be like, 'Hey, it's Eva Longoria', as opposed to, 'There's this great girl', whereas my friends, who know me, will be like, 'There's this girl, she's really fun..."

The brunette star also revealed the qualities she looks for in her ideal man.

She said: "I love a good vocabulary, a good vernacular... Compassionate to the world."
