Woodcroft garage fire prompts road closure

Woodcroft Avenue was closed early Wednesday morning due to a fire response.

The garage fire at 13540 Woodcroft Ave. was reported around 5:30 a.m.

When CTV News Edmonton arrived at the scene, flames were visible in the garage and crews were cutting into the roof.

Although the blaze was considered under control by 6:30 a.m., crews remained at the scene as of 9:30 a.m. to ensure it was extinguished.

No injuries were reported. A neighbour said no one had been living in the home for approximately two years.
