A grass fire that shut down Anthony Henday Drive on Tuesday was caused by human activity, officials say. Edmonton Fire Rescue Services on Thursday confirmed human activity in the treed area near 186 Street and 104 Avenue caused the blaze, although a spokesperson said the ignition source will remain unknown. The fire has not been called out yet and crews continue working to extinguish it. On Tuesday, the fire spread to Anthony Henday Drive and 111 Avenue, prompting an evacuation of several businesses in the area, as well as police to shut down the highway.
