Ontario’s country music festival Boots and Hearts is coming to Alberta. Russell Dickerson and Shaboozey will headline the inaugural Boots and Hearts West event at Edmonton’s Ice District Fan Park on Aug. 28 and 29, 2026, organizers announced Tuesday. The event calls itself Canada’s largest camping and country music festival, held annually in Oro-Medonte, Ont. It has won the Canadian Country Music Association’s Festival of the Year award eight times. The expansion to Edmonton in 2026 will be the first time the festival is held outside of Ontario. “Boots and Hearts has always been about living the lifestyle of country music and celebrating its community,” said event co-founder Eva Dunford in a press release. “Alberta’s deep country roots and honest, grounded culture feel naturally aligned with the spirit our festival has cultivated over the past 15 years.” The full artist lineup has not yet been released. Tickets go on pre-sale Wednesday and general sale Friday.
