RCMP are looking for a dog owner after a 61-year-old woman and her golden retriever were attacked in St. Albert Thursday. A news release said the woman and her dog were bitten in the Alderwood neighbourhood by a large, black dog, causing the woman to be hospitalized with a serious injury requiring surgery. The golden retriever also needed medical treatment after getting bitten on its hind legs. The owner of the dog is described as a woman between the ages of 18 and 20 with brown hair. Police said the dog looked similar to a boxer. Police are asking the public to contact them at 780-458-7700 with any information regarding the incident.
