A man is accused of driving more than 200 km/h on a highway near Grande Prairie. He was caught driving 202 km/h on Highway 43 between Grande Prairie and Wembley, a 110 km/h zone, around 10:40 p.m. on July 6. He was given a mandatory court summons for speeding and careless driving. In Alberta, fines for speeding 51 km/h or more over the limit are decided by the court.
