Fire destroys Capilano transit centre shelter

The bus shelter at Capilano Mall in north Edmonton was destroyed by fire over the weekend.

The bus shelter at the Capilano transit centre was destroyed by a fire early Saturday morning.

Edmonton Rescue Fire Services said the fire was called in at 4:18 a.m. Crews were able to clear the scene at 4:45 a.m.

The fire caused extensive damage to the centre’s bus shelter.

Police were not called to the scene, and as of Saturday afternoon, they were not investigating the fire.
