2 people found with life-threatening injuries at Edmonton Guns N’ Roses concert

Two concertgoers were taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries during the Guns N’ Roses performance at Commonwealth Stadium in Edmonton on Wednesday.

Emergency Health Services (EHS) Alberta told CTV News paramedics arrived at around 9:20 p.m. for the first person, who was in an unstable and potentially life-threatening condition. They were taken and treated en route to hospital.

Paramedics responded again at 10 p.m. for a person in critical life-threatening condition. EHS said paramedics provided advanced life support on the way to hospital.

EHS reported taking one other person to hospital in stable, non-life-threatening condition.

The Edmonton Police Service said there were no reported criminal incidents involving injury. A police representative called it an “an average concert event with a few ejections for intoxication or fighting.”

The City of Edmonton said 32,200 fans came out for the concert. CTV News Edmonton has reached out to the city for more information on the injuries and is awaiting a response.
