The world’s most famous dinosaur has arrived in Calgary for a visit. Sue is on display at the Telus Spark Science Centre. It’s the most complete and best-preserved Tyrannosaurus Rex ever found. Sue was discovered in 1990 in South Dakota and scientists are still making discoveries. The updated skeleton includes belly ribs that make Sue look bigger and more powerful. Telus Spark hopes Sue will ignite the imaginations of everyone who comes to see her. “Sue is more than an exhibition,” the science centre’s board chair Sophia Langlois said in a media release. “It’s an example of what is possible when community, philanthropy, education, tourism and science come together to create experiences that inspire people of all ages.” “Every generation has its dinosaur moment,” said science centre CEO Guy Labine. “For many families, Sue will be that moment. Standing beside something this massive changes your perspective. It sparks questions, wonder, and conversations that continue long after a visit ends.” Sue will be on display at Telus Spark all summer.
