Calgary police have released photos of three people believed to be involved in two break-ins at the same downtown business this summer. The first break–in at Luxe Du Jour, a store specializing in the resale of high-end handbags and accessories, happened at 1:25 a.m. on Sunday, June 12. The store is located inside Fifth and Fifth, in the 600 block of Fifth Avenue S.W. Police say the suspects entered Fifth and Fifth through an emergency exit door and forced entry through secured areas of the building before breaking into the store. “Once inside, they stole a variety of designer handbags, wallets, belts and accessories valued at approximately $144,470, including items from Louis Vuitton, Chanel, Dior, Hermès, Saint Laurent, Gucci and Prada,” police said. The second break-in happened at 2:50 a.m. on Saturday, July 25. This time, police say thieves stole about 17 handbags. Investigators believe the same three suspects were involved both robberies. During both incidents, CCTV footage showed the suspects arriving and leaving in vehicles that police later determined to be stolen. Both vehicles have since been recovered; however, the suspects remain unidentified. Anyone with additional information is asked to call police at 403-266-1234.
