The next couple of days in Calgary are looking mild, weather-wise

Monday proved mild for many communities in southern Alberta. In the city, it looks like we can expect much the same for the next couple of days.

Tuesday will be pretty similar to Monday in Calgary—a little on the windy side and a high of 7.

A couple of things to note:

We had a lot of melting Monday, and that will freeze overnight, so expect icy spots on the roads and sidewalks Tuesday morning.

It’s possible to run into some fog patches in the city, too.

In the afternoon, the winds will pick up.

There’s a small chance of a brief shower closer to the supper hours.

We will hold on to the warm air for another two days in the city.

We will dip below freezing (and to more normal temperatures) by New Year’s Day.
