Several Alberta communities see next mayors in by acclamation

Municipal elections might still be a few weeks away, but some communities already know who their next mayors will be.

Some are already in by acclamation.

Bow Island’s Gordon Reynolds will serve another term as mayor.

Cardston will have a new mayor, as Maggie Kronen did not run for re-election, and former councillor Paula Brown will take over the mayor’s chair there.

Fort Macleod’s Brent Feyter has been acclaimed for another term.

Former Pincher Creek councillor Wayne Oliver will be that community’s next mayor.

Raymond will also see a former councillor, Bryce Coppieters, take over the town’s top job.

Vulcan’s entire town council is also in by acclamation.
