Serious crash closes a portion of Highway 2 south of Calgary

A portion of Highway 2 South of Calgary, near Okotoks, will be closed to traffic for several hours.

The crash happened in the northbound lanes of highway 2 near the Okotoks overpass around 3:15 p.m. Sunday afternoon.

RCMP say the collision involved a semi-truck and a gas truck.

Alberta Health Servies says one adult suffered non-life threatening injuries and was transported to hospital by ground ambulance.

There is not word if anyone else was injured and northbound traffic is being diverted.
