Calgary police say a pedestrian hit by a school bus in Somerset on Thursday is in serious, life-threatening condition. The collision occurred near the intersection of 162 Avenue and Sixth Street S.W. at about 3 p.m. The pedestrian, a woman in hers 60s, was taken to hospital as a precaution with what were initially believed to be non-life-threatening injuries. However, police said Friday her condition has since deteriorated. “At this time, it is too early to determine whether impairment, speed or distraction contributed to the collision,” police said in a news release. “All possible factors remain under investigation.” Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call police at 403-266-1234.
