Two more pedestrians were struck on Calgary streets Thursday evening, with one suffering life-threatening injuries. A man in his 20s was rushed to hospital from the 3300 block of 32nd Avenue N.W. just before 8 p.m. Police say he was in “serious, life-threatening condition” when EMS transported him. The driver of the vehicle remained at the scene. Investigation is ongoing. 32nd Avenue was shut down between 31st Street and 37th Street for a time. About half an hour earlier, police say an adult suffered “minor injuries” in a controlled intersection in the 0-100 block of 11th Avenue S.E. The individual was assessed by EMS. The driver of the vehicle remained at the scene. Police say the area saw “minimal road closures” for a time as a result of this incident. Thursday’s number grows Earlier Thursday, two pedestrians—an adult and a child—were seriously injured when they were struck at Dalhousie Drive and Dalgleish Road N.W. around 8:45 a.m. EMS say the injuries to both individuals are not life-threatening.
