More than 600 Airdrie homes without power, Fortis Alberta says

Many residents living in the north end of Airdrie, including many rural properties, north of that city are without power on Tuesday.

Originally, Fortis Alberta said 827 customers in the area were blacked out after an issue was reported at 7:09 a.m.

As of 10 a.m., that figure has dropped to 642 customers.

The company blames a motor vehicle crash for the situation.

The power was restored by 11 a.m.
