Primary Care Alberta’s mobile mammography trailer will visit Strathmore later this month — and next month too. Mammograms are an X-ray of the breast used to detect early signs of cancer. Primary Care Alberta says mammograms are the best way to find breast cancer early when treatment may work better. “Getting screened for breast cancer saves lives,” the organization said in a news release. The mobile trailer will be parked at the Strathmore Stampede Grounds, located at 33 Wheatland Tr. on the east side of the Remuda Building on Sept. 25 and 26, as well as Oct. 1 to 3, and 5 to 6. It will serve eligible individuals ages 45 to 74 — the group most at risk of developing breast cancer. Screening is free for eligible individuals, but appointments are required.
