Lethbridge police arrest 36 people in operation aimed at ‘open drug use’

Lethbridge police have arrested three dozen people while investigating drug use in the city’s downtown core.

The sting involved uniformed and covert officers targeting offenders engaged in criminal behaviour including “for openly using drugs,” officials said.

Over the course of the investigation, police executed 74 warrants, seized quantities of methamphetamine and fentanyl, recovered a stolen vehicle and laid 11 criminal charges.
