Lethbridge Family Services offer information day to ease transition for temporary foreign workers

On Oct. 22, Lethbridge Family Services is offering an information day for temporary foreign workers.

Lethbridge Family Services is trying to make it easier for temporary foreign workers to navigate the immigration system.

It’s hosting a ‘temporary foreign worker information day’ to offer guidance and support.

Many temporary workers don’t know about the supports and services that will help them build their lives in Canada.

Attendees will learn about programs, reliable immigration pathways, how to network and more.

Everyone will also have a free 15-minute session with an immigration lawyer.

LFS believes this will help put temporary residents on the right path.

“People who come with different kinds of problems, questions about immigration, questions about finding employment, accessing community resources,“ said resettlement practitioner Gregory Rabus. ”And so we thought it’d be a great opportunity to gather together, as many folks as possible, to have information, about exactly those things.”

The information day is Oct. 22nd. Attendees will need to register in advance.
