Lethbridge County will host two free agriculture workshops this spring. On March 25, the county will host its Growing Opportunities Workshop, which explores fire risk mitigation and management over time. Then, next month, the Shelterbelts and Resilient Landscapes Workshop will take place to give residents insight on creating and maintaining different landscaping techniques. The county says the workshops are designed to provide residents with useful information, free of charge. “There’s a collective feel for being able to engage with the presenter or people that are likeminded—like you or other producers—in the area just to gauge a sense of where they are at, and it’s a great way to communicate with others,” said Matthew Wells, Lethbridge County rural extension specialist.
