Innisfail RCMP are asking for public assistance to locate a man who has been missing since 2007. Innisfail resident Ohanes “Johnny” Melkon, then 27, was last seen on March 28, 2007, leaving his home on 56 Street. He was reported missing by his family on April 3 when he missed work and they couldn’t reach him. He worked in Blackfalds for a pipeline company, as well as seasonally in Sylvan Lake, building fences. He was known to visit Red Deer, Blackfalds, Sylvan Lake, Penhold and Innisfail. He was originally from Montreal and and had moved to Alberta for work in May, 2005. He’s described as 5′9 tall, weighing 161 pounds with a slender build. He was bald with brown eyes and medium complexion. He would now be 46 years old. Anyone with information is asked to contact Innisfail RCMP at 403-227-3342.
