The Calgary Flames are offering a closer look at what the new event centre will look like once it opens. The latest batch of architectural renderings, released Wednesday, included a glimpse of the indoor plaza, the exterior of the Esso Community Arena and the team’s flagship retail store where all the swag will be sold. “As Scotia Place continues to rise, we’re excited to give you a closer look at Calgary’s next great gathering space!” the Flames posted on social media. “Our latest renderings showcase spaces that will bring sports, music and community together in one dynamic environment!” The venue will be open to the public year-round when it’s not booked for ticketed or private events. The Esso Community Arena will have 1,000 seats and host recreation hockey leagues. Scotia Place is scheduled to open in the fall of 2027.
