The Okotoks Dawgs started the 2026 WCBL playoffs on the right foot, bringing the thunder to Seaman Stadium Friday night in a convincing 24-7 win over the Energy City Cactus Rats. The Dawgs piled up 25 hits on the night, including five for Cal Gates, including two doubles, six runs scored and two stolen bases. Nash Crowell had three hits including a home run, a triple, three RBI and a walk. Jordan Kievman hit two home runs, delighting a crowd of 4,307 at Seaman Stadium. Brody Forno tossed four innings and struck out five and the club got steady relief from Will Labonte, Wyatt Sandler, Matthew Tran and Brody Burnette, who combined to throw five innings, striking out five and allowing two runs. Game 2 goes Saturday night at Seaman Stadium. First pitch is scheduled for 7:05 p.m.
