Cochrane RCMP say they seized 15 firearms and a large quantity of ammunition from a residence in Crossfield, Alta. Police say the seizure is linked to an investigation into a series of break and enters earlier this month involving a string of firearm thefts. Investigators executed a search warrant at the home Monday with assistance from other agencies. Police say the search resulted in the seizure of firearms and ammunition, with several believed to have been stolen in the break and enters. The origin of the remaining firearms is still under investigation. Police say the suspect was not at the residence at the time the warrant was executed and has not been arrested.
