The City of Calgary is hosting an amateur golf tournament this weekend. The two-day Calgary Municipal Golf Championship takes place on Saturday and Sunday. Golfers will start at Shaganappi Point on Saturday for 18 holes, then head to Maple Ridge for the final 18 on Sunday. And in this tournament, golfers of all skill levels are welcome. “It’s really a chance to not only challenge yourself but to connect with other people that really love the passion of golf, whether you’re shooting 100 or you’re setting the course record out there,” said Todd Moon from the City of Calgary. All slots are currently full for the stroke tournament, which has a registration fee of $200. There’s also plenty of prizes for the top scores.
