Cavalry FC will be looking to right the ship Monday when they take on the Wanderers in Halifax.

The club has dropped two games in a row, losing 3-2 to Ottawa and then falling 2-1 to Inter Toronto.

Cavalry still lead Forge F.C. in the overall Canadian Premier League standings, but their advantage has dwindled down to two points.

If the club wants to claim its second CPL Shield, they have to win a few.

“I think this week was a learning experience for all of the boys,” said head coach Tommy Wheeldon Jr. on Friday. “It didn’t happen this year so often and I feel like it (losing two in a row) humbled us in a way.

“And to know we’re going back to the old ways,” he added, “Like training hard and I think the boys are ready.”

Cavalry FC has three games remaining in the regular season. After Monday’s match in Halifax, they close out at home with games against Pacific F.C. and Vancouver.
