Calgary’s e-scooter fleet getting an upgrade

E-scooter enthusiasts in Calgary are getting an upgrade as one company is introducing hundreds of new rides to city streets.

Neuron is bringing 400 new e-scooters to Calgary and it is the first city of Canada to see them, the company announced Wednesday.

The new XN e-scooter has 11.5-inch wheels, a stronger motor and wireless phone charging. Neuron says the upgrades will make for a smoother and easier ride.

“Riders will enjoy a safe, smooth and more enjoyable journey, and we look forward to celebrating the launch with a range of special offers to help more people experience the upgrade,” said Ankush Karwal, general manager for Neuron Mobility’s Canadian office, in a news release.

Those offers include discounts on weekly and monthly passes, as well as the introduction of the Neuron Plus pass even deeper discounts.
