A Calgary woman is celebrating a $2 million lottery win. Rosabel Firme purchased her Western 649 ticket at the Shoppers Drug Mart on Saddletown Circle N.E. and checked it using the Lotto Spot app after the Sept. 2 draw. “I was pacing around the house in such shock,” Firme said in a news release. “I just couldn’t process it.” She says her excitement only grew once she told her family. “They couldn’t believe it, so we scanned it on the app again so they could see it’s real.” While the win is still fresh, Firme says she already has some ideas for her money. “I plan to pay off my mortgage and any outstanding bills. I’ll invest the rest.”
