Advance voting is wrapping up in the Calgary-Shaw byelection. Advance polls opened on Tuesday and the final day to vote in them is Saturday. They’ll be open from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. at 1000 15 Sunpark Plaza S.E., Suite 250. All eligible voters in the riding can cast a ballot at that location on Saturday. However, on election day on Monday, voters must vote at their assigned location. Voting on Monday is open from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Candidates Candidates running in the Calgary-Shaw byelection, listed alphabetically by last name, include: ‘Get out and vote’ “This byelection I’m really focussed on education and health-care funding,” voter Kyrissa Dunford told CTV News on Friday outside the advance polling centre. “Get out and vote! Everybody should get out and vote and have their say.” Voter Rhonda Ronaldson echoed that sentiment, saying she too was thinking about health care and education when casting her ballot. Voters Tracy Williamson and Em Williamson also said those were the two topics they were most concerned about. Em said she’s also passionate about gay and trans rights and social programs. Both said their vote was impacted based on how candidates feel about Alberta separating from Canada. Results Unofficial results will be available on Elections Alberta’s website once voting closes on Monday. Official results will then be released on Sept. 24.
