Calgary police seek info on Cornerstone assault

Calgary police are sharing more information about two suspects wanted in connection with an assault that left a man with serious life-threatening injuries.

On March 8 at approximately 3:15 p.m., police were called to an assault in the 0 to 100 block of Corner Glen Row N.E.

On arrival, police found a man in his 20s in medical distress. The victim was taken to hospital in life-threatening condition, where he has since been upgraded to serious, but stable condition.

In an update Thursday, police said they believe the victim was attacked by two armed men.

“The suspects are described as being in their early 20s, both with light complexions,” police said in a news release.

“One suspect is described as wearing a red hoodie and the other suspect is described as wearing a white or light-coloured hoodie.”

Calgary police also released photos of a vehicle believed to be involved in the assault. It is described as a dark blue, 2008 to 2015 Infiniti EX35.

Investigators believe the victim was targeted and there is no risk to the public.
