The City of Calgary says a boil water advisory issued for the community of Eagle Ridge has been revoked — though it remains in place for Heritage Park. The advisory was issued on Oct. 16 after repairs began on a water main pipe that supports the area. While the repairs were under way, crews experienced an unanticipated depressurization of the pipe. The depressurization called into question the quality of the water, so a boil water advisory was issued as a precaution. It impacted about 100 homes — and Heritage Park. On Tuesday, the city said Eagle Ridge homes are now in the clear. “The City of Calgary labs, in collaboration with Alberta Health Services (AHS) and Alberta Environment and Protected Areas) have tested and confirmed that the water in Eagle Ridge meet water-quality guidelines and standards and is safe for consuming,” the city said. Heritage Park is a working directly with Alberta Health Services to ensure testing requirement are met for their site. For more information for impacted residents, you van visit Calgary.ca/boilwater.
