When singer/songwriter Blair Lamb takes the stage in Dolly Parton’s Threads: My Songs in Symphony, she knows she has Dolly’s blessing. “She did tell me that I had a sweet voice, which I will carry with me forever,” Lamb told CTV News. Lamb was among the singers selected by Parton for the production, presented Sept. 11 by the Calgary Philharmonic. The Calgary show, announced before Parton’s death on Aug. 25, is already sold out. Not only is this the Canadian premiere, but it will be the first time it’s been staged since Parton passed away. “I’ve been thinking about this show coming up. It’s definitely going to be a special one, and I feel like it’s going to be different in a way. There’s really no way to know until we get there, but I anticipate that it’ll be a very special night,” said Lamb.
