Local singer/songwriter Eden Taylor admits the one-week deadline imposed on her by the Acoustic Guitar Project was demanding. “I usually write not in seven days, it’s usually seven months. So, it was a really, really good challenge,” Taylor told CTV News. On March 6 at the King Eddy, Taylor will play the song she created as part of the project, and she’ll be as surprised as anyone by the four other performers in the initiative. Each female artist took the same guitar for a week and wrote and recorded a new song. The project is sponsored by the National Music Centre as part of Women’s History Month. Taylor said she’s currently working on an EP, which should be ready for release by this summer.
