High Performance Rodeo

• What: One Yellow Rabbit’s High Performance Rodeo returns for its 40^th season. The annual festival features theatre, dance, comedy, music and more.
• When: Jan. 13 to 21, 2026.
• Where: Various venues throughout the city.

Wranglers vs Condors

• What: The Calgary Wranglers take on the Bakersfield Condors in AHL action at the ‘Dome.
• When: 7 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 16, 2026.
• Where: Scotiabank Saddledome, 555 Saddledome Rise S.E.

Flames vs. Islanders

• What: The Calgary Flames take on the New York Islanders at the Saddledome.
• When: 1 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 17, 2026.

• What: The Calgary Wranglers take on the Bakersfield Condors once again.

Alberta Ballet: The Winter Gala

• What: Alberta Ballet’s Winter Gala is a showcase of the ballet’s professional dancers and the Alberta Ballet School’s students.
• When: 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 17, 2026.
• Where: Southern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium, 1415 14 Ave. N.W.

Rare Beauties

• What: Decidedly Jazz Danceworks presents Rare Beauties, a highly theatrical piece exploring extreme emotional states and transformation.
• When: January 15 to 25, 2026.
• Where: DJD Dance Centre, 111 12 Ave. S.E.

Penguin walk

• What: Head to the Wilder Institute/Calgary Zoo to get up close and personal with some king penguins. The zoo’s penguin walk will be held every day at 10:30 a.m., weather permitting. Be sure to check the organization’s social media accounts before heading out, just in case it’s cancelled.
• When: Daily until Sunday, March 15. 2026.

The Road Hammers & Doc Walker

• What: Canadian country-rock trio The Road Hammers perform at the Grey Eagle – along with Doc Walker – as part of the Till the Wheels Fall Off tour.
• When: 8 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 17, 2026.

Let it Be Beatles

• What: Jubilations Dinner Theatre Calgary presents Let it Be Beatles, a look at the Fab Four and their journey to becoming music superstars.
• When: Saturday, Jan. 17 to March 21, 2026.

Sister Act

• What: Stage West Calgary presents Sister Act, based on the 1992 Whoopi Goldberg movie, about a woman who, after witnessing a murder, is relocated by police and disguised as a nun.
