1 sent to hospital after single-vehicle collision in northeast Calgary

One person is in hospital in serious condition after the vehicle they were in struck a light standard in northeast Calgary.

The single-vehicle crash happened around 6:22 p.m. on Saturday.

Police say the vehicle struck a light standard on eastbound McKnight Boulevard just before Stoney Trail northeast.

Police are warning motorists to expect traffic delays in the area.
