Thomas Hackett was arrested after over a year on the run.

The Repeat Offender Parole Enforcement (R.O.P.E.) Squad announced he was unlawfully at large on January 15, 2025.

Canada-wide warrant issued for man with ties to Barrie, Alliston,. Beeton areas

Hackett was arrested by the Nottawasaga Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) in Alliston.

He was serving a two-year sentence for:

• Assault - intentional use of force
• Operating a vehicle while impaired
• Operating a vehicle while prohibited
• Failing to comply with court orders
• Failing to provide breath sample
