Open and closed: Victoria Day

On Monday, May 18, or the Victoria Day holiday, the following Barrie services will be affected:

Closed on Monday

• Recreation/Community Centres will be closed.
• There will be no Barrie Transit service.
• City Hall will be closed.

Additional service reminders:

Curbside collection: There will be no change to the waste collection schedule on Monday; curbside collection will occur as regularly scheduled.

Yard waste is collected every-other-week, alternating with your garbage week. Visit Curbside Collection for more information on curbside collection services and to look up your collection schedule.

Fireworks reminder:

Residents are permitted to use fireworks on Monday, the Victoria Day holiday.

Fireworks are permitted until 11 p.m. on the day of the celebration. Please review fireworks safety reminders.

Parking:

Downtown parking (on-street and lots) is free on statutory holidays. Waterfront parking is enforced 24/7.

The Spirit Catcher, Simcoe Street Lot, and North Marina parking lots are “hybrid” parking lots and rates in the hybrid lots are consistent with waterfront parking rates and enforced 24/7.
