Two people injured after crash along Highway 11

Motorists travelling along Highway 11 may be facing some delays due to a multi-vehicle crash that has resulted in two people facing injuries.

On Wednesday, around noon, emergency crews rushed to Memorial Avenue and Simcoe Road 49 in Oro-Medonte for reports of a collision.

Ontario Provincial Police told CTV News that at least two people are facing injuries following the crash. The extent of their injuries remains unknown at this time.

“One patient with injuries is being attended to by paramedics,” said Chris Ferry Orillia’s Fire Chief.

The left shoulder and left lane along Highway 11 southbound remains closed.

Details are limited at this time, including the cause and estimated time for road clean up.
