Thieves walk out of hardware store with $8,000 in power tools: OPP

Provincial police are turning to the public for help identifying four suspects involved in a brazen theft at the Huntsville Home Depot on Tuesday last week.

According to police, four individuals entered the business at around 5:15 p.m. and filled carts with various power tools and other items worth around $8,000. The suspects then walked out of the store without paying.

The OPP released descriptions of the suspects, all of whom are described as South Asian males in their 20s and 30s.

The first suspect is roughly six feet tall, with short dark hair and a short dark beard/moustache, wearing a black T-shirt, blue jean cargo pants, and white running shoes. He was also wearing a tan/camo belt bag and a light blue ball cap.

The second suspect is about five feet 10 inches tall, with short dark hair and a short dark beard/moustache, dressed in a black T-shirt, black athletic pants with a light blue stripe, and black/bright green running shoes. He had a grey belt bag and a black ball cap.

Police say the third suspect stands at around five feet nine inches tall, with short dark hair and a bit of stubble. He was wearing a grey T-shirt over a burgundy plaid collared shirt, blue jean pants, and red running shoes. He was also wearing a grey/black ball cap with a Canadian flag on the front.

The fourth suspect is believed to be five feet eight inches tall, with a dark beard/moustache. He was wearing a black jacket, black athletic pants, and white running shoes. He had a bright blue cloth under his black ball cap.

The OPP is urging anyone with information or dash cam footage of the area to come forward. Police are particularly interested in any video evidence that may have captured the suspects or their vehicle.
