Theatre group looking for musical theatre show ideas

Calling all community theatre directors and musical directors. What are your dream musicals?

Kempenfelt Community Players (KCP) is searching for artistic teams’ visions for the theatre company’s 2027 spring show.

KCP is inviting directors and musical directors to submit their proposals for potential musicals the theatre company can put on for the two-week run at Georgian College next year.

The theatre group has some guidelines for submissions. One of those guidelines is the musical must be available for licensing to community theatre groups in this region. It should also have musical and technical requirements that can be accommodated at the Five Points Theatre by a team of volunteers. Finally, the musical should be able to showcase a diverse range of amateur local talent, meaning shows that feature an ensemble.

Interested applicants are asked to complete the form and a theatre resume, an outline of their vision and their proposed artistic team.
