Sketch artist drawings of suspects could lead to arrest: OPP

Lengthy investigation in Clearview Township has police releasing sketch-artist images of two suspects.

A violent shooting was reported to Huronia West Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) last year on August 15 on a property on 15/16 Sideroad near Highway 26.

OPP responded to the scene and found a person suffering from a gunshot wound.

Police are now releasing a video of the suspect’s car and sketch of the second suspect in a renewed plea for public assistance in an ongoing shooting investigation in Clearview.

The person was transported to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Police say two men arrived at the 15/15 Sideroad property in a dark-coloured 2011 to 2018 Volkswagen Jetta or Passat with Ontario plates.

After an argument the passenger shot and injured the victim.

The passenger is described as a white man with light complexion and sandy brown hair.

The driver is described as a man of Portuguese, Greek or Italian descent with a darker complexion and a beard, who could be between 39 and 42 years old.

“This was a serious incident that involved a firearm being discharged. We are grateful the individual did not sustain more significant injuries. We are urging anyone with information to contact us, particularly if you recognize the suspects or the vehicle involved,” said Det. Staff Sgt. Seth Adair.
