SIU invokes mandate after Orangeville incident

The Special Investigations Unit (SIU) will take over an investigation from the OPP after an incident in Orangeville on Friday.

Police say shortly before 12 p.m., the Dufferin OPP was patrolling on foot behind a commercial building, when they encountered a person.

During the interaction, police say officers arrested the person, who was then transported to the hospital with injuries.
