School buses cancelled across areas of central Ontario

With a snow squall warning issued by Environment Canada for central Ontario, many school buses will remain idle Friday.

With another 10 to 15 centimetres of snow expected and winds gusting up to 50 kilometres per hour, the county roads are considered to be too dangerous to traverse.

• The Simcoe County Student Transportation Consortium cancelled school buses except for the Simcoe Muskoka Catholic District School Board Muskoka buses, which are running today.
• Trillium Lakelands District School Board have cancelled school buses in Zones 4 and 5.
• Shared School Services Transportation has cancelled buses in Flesherton, Markdale, Meaford, Thornbury and Owen Sound.
