Riders return to revitalized Bradford GO station following repairs

The Bradford GO station is back in service.

On Wednesday, Metrolinx confirmed that the station building has officially reopened after roof repairs, and passengers can now use the building as usual.

Riders looking to catch the train are asked to cross at the level crossing on the south end near the station building.

According to Metrolinx, weekday staff will be on site from 5:20 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. to help riders with fare purchases, directions, and general inquiries.

Series of upgrades complete

This reopening follows several upgrades completed throughout 2025.

Metrolinx says the passenger pick-up and drop-off area has been moved closer to trains and buses, while a new Dissette Street pathway and Bridge Street sidewalk have been added to provide better access to the station.

Pedestrian crossings are now clearly marked, parking lots have been renovated, and a secure bike parking room is now available for bikers.

The team notes lighting and security cameras have also been upgraded at the station.

Metrolinx says these improvements are part of the GO Expansion program, which will increase connectivity and bring more frequent two-way, all-day service to the Barrie Line in the future, meeting the needs of a growing Simcoe County.
