One person is dead after an overnight collision partially closed down Highway 10 in Mono. Fire Chief John Snider tells CTV News Orangeville Fire Service crews were on scene shortly after midnight on Tuesday. Both drivers had to be be removed from their mangled vehicles, Snider says. The collision forced provincial police shut to down Hwy. 10 between 10 Sideroad and 15 sideroad. One person was pronounced dead on the scene while the other driver was transferred to the care of paramedics. Orangeville Fire services say no vehicles were on fire, through there was a significant spill of fluids such as gasoline, oil and antifreeze which were contained by firefighters on scene. Residents were asked to avoid the area until roads reopened around 8:20 a.m. on Tuesday morning. The investigation remains ongoing, OPP say.
