Police responded to an early morning crash on Highway 400 between Essa Road and Dunlop Street on Friday. OPP Sgt. Kerry Schmidt told CTV News that the collision involved a dump truck and three passenger vehicles in the northbound lanes. Heavy tow trucks were called to the scene to remove the damaged vehicles. “Details are limited at this time, but the area was closed briefly for tow to arrive. It has since reopened,” said Barrie Police corporate communications in an email. Barrie police temporarily blocked the ramp just before 9 a.m. while crews worked to clear the area. Emergency crews were on scene. It is unclear if there were any injuries.
